Where does Mesa get 447 EL34 tubes?

They seem to have a black base. I have a quad of older Mesa EL-34's (442's perhaps) that I think are Svetlanas (Winged C's according to Watford), but they have a brown base.

BTW, if you want to try a really good EL34 try the Harma E34L Cryo treated, from Watford Walves in the UK.

They are basically carefully selected JJ's that have been cryo treated. Very good tubes, and not so expensive. Well worth trying.

EDIT: I checked Watford walves and they say that the EH's are Sovteks:
