biffrythm Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 I'm selling a 92 Hamer Special w/p-90s. Cherry finish, excellant shape. Just a little Hameritus right at the nut. All original except for the strap locks. It has a thin, flat neck, which is why I'm selling it. My main guitar is a fat neck les paul, and this feels kinda alien to me when I reach for it.I've had it about 3 months. I saw it hangin' on the wall at the local guitar center next to all the import junk and couldnt leave it there. I had a fatter necked version a decade ago that I loved, but I can't seem to warm up to this one.Paid $550 + tax and would like to get as close to that as I can. Don't have a case, I will consider trades and am looking for a strat with the roller nut and locking tuner(prefer white or cream color). I'll email pics, its on Denver craigs list with pics too.My phone number is here as well.[email protected]Thanks,Kelly303 337 4168
biffrythm Posted September 4, 2005 Author Posted September 4, 2005 I'm not just interested in a strat, by the way. I'll consider any offers. I'll post picture here if anyone can tell me how to do it.thanks

robberns Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Can you explain Hameritus? Not familiar with that affliction. Thanks
Nuclear Wessel Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Can you explain Hameritus? Not familiar with that affliction. Thanks It's a repetitive stress injury. No seriously, it's where the edges of the clear coat lift off the guitar a little. Typical locations where you'll see that happen is along the edge of the fretboard, at the nut (why do they clearcoat the sides of the nut?) and sometimes at the neck joint. It's not as common as the name makes it sound. I have a ton of Hamers and I don't think any even have it along the fretboard. I know none have it at the neck joint.
tomteriffic Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Sorry,I just sold it. Good! I was about to do something I shouldn't!
