Rio Bastard in a Maple-top Special...Part 2

Ok, so I put the Bastard in the bridge of my Special FM and it sounds good - nice bite, good snarl, cleans up ok when backed down. And it's not way bright like I feared it might be.

The problem would be, well, it's puny. It just doesn't smack ya upside the head the way I'd like it to. It would be a good neck pickup (and will probably go in my Echotone), but won't cut it in the bridge position.

So, I need a hotter humbucker-sized P90 to try. The logical choice is Rio's Fat Bastard, because it should be dark enough to tame the maple/ebony/Sustain Block construction of the Special, and have the extra poop I'm looking for.

Are there any other slightly dark-sounding HB-sized P90s out there worth a look?

I had the Fat B in the bridge in my guitars... worked well. It would probably do the trick.
