I adjusted the truss rod a couple of weeks ago in my Edwards LP as I switched from the .009s it came with to .010s. The neck needed just a tweak to take some relief out (less then 1/4" turn) and the nut moved a a little on the hard side.
When I get time ( this year?) I plan to loosen the nut to investigate if the rod is at the end of it's threads etc. If it is I would like to remove the nut and place a shim (washer) under it to give it a little more adjustment. Can I effectively do this with hardware store stock?
