fender silverface grillboard color

Been tinkering with one of my silverface fender supers which is in dire need of a grill board replacement.

I am wondering what color paint was originally used for painting the grill board and inside of the cab, baffle board etc.? It does not appear to be a simple flat black, rather more of a slate gray.

Any help would be appreciated.

I use flat black. It fades to a gray color over time.

I looked at mine a bit closer and it is indeed just a flat black.. the baffle is more gray as is the inside of the amp.
