What would be a killer pup combo for the single/hb configuration on these? I wonder what would pair well with this mahogany? The sound that I am usually after never ventures too far from 80s-esque metal. I would cite the sound of Russ Parrish with Steel Panther as a good approximation of what I am normally after.

They are not $1000 guitars but they do 80's metal very well imo. Ultra light gauge strings but you can still tune down 1/2

Yes those are the DD's. It's stock everything the way it came from Korea. The amp is an older cheap Peavey Trans Tube run though software on my computer.

The pickups have been changed, they look like good one's though. That's a steal right there. Have you had it long or just in the business?

I have not had it long, I traded some other guitar related stuff for it, I am trying to thin my collection of the non USA stuff
