Seymour Duncan Parallel Axis Distortion PATB2

Hello,

Anyone here use the PATB-2 distortion parallel axis pickup in the bridge of their Hamer californian honduras mahogany guitar. A local store has one and am getting ready to bring guitar their Monday for new bridge and neck pickups...

Right now has JB trembucker bridge and sustainiac/lil 59 neck....Thinking Jazz for neck and PATB-1 or PATB-2 for bridge?

Thoughts?

The PATB-2 seems like has a lot of harmonics...I like a lot of Lynch, Vai type stuff.....

Thanks,

Steve

My Cali has a Parallel Axis in the bridge. Perfect pickup for the bridge position in these guitars IMHO. I play hard rock too, fyi.

The regular Parallel Axis (PATB1) is different from what he's talking about. As far as I know, there are 3 types of PA Pups. The regular one, the Blues PATB, which isn't as hot and the PATB Distortion, which I imagine is hot like an SD Distortion. I have a regular PA in my Cali and like it, but I've always wondered what the other ones sound like.
