black magic Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 Love the body shape and the 1 hum and Kahler, but the problem form those years is the they were all Maple. I have seen minty Carvins like that with case for $300-350. That Carvin there is a $200 guitar. Not to say it is cheap, no, that`s just how Carvin prices go. Hell, buy a new one, you lose about 50% in no time. Jack.
wyldbil Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 Hey! I see the problem he mentions in his auction. It only works intermittently because he has an "input" jack where the "output" jack goes.
paults Posted March 14, 2005 Author Posted March 14, 2005 The seller is just confused about electron flow direction : )I played with a guitarist who had one of these Carvins in the mid '80s- it was a screamer, and played every bit as well as my Mockingbird. Considering what people will pay for all-maple neck through BC Rich guitars from that era, these guitars are really a good deal at those prices.
