  1. This is great news!! I will wait for things to settle down and let Mike do what he does best on the initial run and then check on a custom order myself. Bummer on the Boomerangs, but I understand the trademark thingy. I am definitely going 1 Hum, short scale, 22 fret something. Congrats Mike.
  2. That is frickin awesome!! I have one in Ferrari red as well, except with a kahler pro, Jackson style headstock and H-S-S pickups. It would only have 1 hunbucker, but I didn't order it.
  3. The CT624 is just the 24 fret version of the CT6 the 22 fret version. Also the 6 in the name meens either a flamed or quilt top. They have the CT3-4-6. All mahogany, plain maple cap and then the 6 having the fancier tops.
  4. Wow, you guys are rough I love them. I have 2 right now and looking to buy more. The quality is awesome and I love the C22B and M22SD bridge pickups. The M22T is lifeless and sterile and that use to be their basic pickup for many years in the bridge starting in the 90`s sometime. Now the C22B is and the M22SD is very hot. I love most everything about them. My favorite are the older set neck, all maple 24.75 scale ones and I have 2 of them. A DC125C from 1987 and a DC135C from 1989. That M22T pickup was so horrible I almost thought the guitars were horrible until you change out that nasty pickup. I am ordering a new DC125C soon with the "ST" strat body option. But as I always say, to each their own and I love many different guitars including Hamer and Jackson and a very good LP as well.
  5. 9-42 on 24.75 and 25 scale guitars and 8-38 on 25.5 scale guitars. Tuned E-E or Drop D. I like slinky strings.
  6. They will touch Hamer USA as they are ruining Jackson/Charvel. They have raised the prices by 30% plus on J/C guitars, made some options Master Built, meaning big $$$$$$$ upcharges(the are J/C guitars not Fender I am talking about) and have limited options now or made many options that were afordable, very expensive. Well, let`s just say, if they treat Hamer USA like J/C USA, they will fuk it way up. Not that Hamer makes anything now that floats my boat, but just watch the prices rise and rise on USA Hamers at least. Jack
  7. I am not suprised Hamer has anounced this. I also like the Crowns better than victory inlays, but like Boomers better than them all!! Jack

  9. John Hill of Hill Guitars talked to me for about an hour about a custom guitar ans said I could call anytime and talk to him about it and come up and see about it with him and he will draw it up by hand all the way to production. Talk about cool!! That been said, it was very cool of Jol to all to call. Jack.
  10. I have tried for years to get a new Chap Custom made and finally gave up. I love my custom Jackson Soloist, but I am also done with Jackson as they have cut way back on the options you can get and designs and too boot they raised their prices over 30%-fuck them!! Believe me, I would have bought a new custom Chap or Jackson in a minute this year, but no way now. I agree, try US Masters or what I will go with in the next couple years, Hill Guitars out of Cleveland,OH. I can also drive their and design it from beginning to end with John Hill!! Hamer and Jackson can keep their new guitars. I will buy them used and work with a small custom builder on customs. Good luck bro-Jack.
  11. Man, those cases are some nice cases for sure!! Wish I had a Bird for it. Jack.
  12. OK, my 3 crappy pics: 2 Dean Czech Select EVO`s 1 CS Jackson I am down to only 3 guitars right now and probably selling one of my Deans. Jack.
  13. Hey man, are you YetAnotherOne from the JCF? If so, welcome man!! This is Slayer from over there. Sadly, I don`t own any Hamers at the moment, but have owned many in the past. I will get another one some day Jack.
  14. Sweet Rob Can it do Metal Man, I have been so busy, but I gotta get over there to jam thru those 2 Mesas. If I like them, I may sell some stuff to buy one!! Congrats and I will call you-Jack.
  15. I almost forgot about this guitar, but if there is a raffle, please let me know how to buy some raffle tickets-seriously!! I love Floyds and EMG`s :-) Jack.
  16. That is what I wanted to hear man!! I think I will hunt a new one down and take my Boss MT-2 pedal along and see what doing. Kurt, what model is yours and year? Jack.
  17. Thanks fellas. Is that a 2204? I am kinda leading towards 100 watts. Not as much more loud, but for the low end. I have owned both 50`s and 100`s and you can hear the difference in that department. I know one thing for sure, the new 2203`s are kinda pricey!! Jack.
  18. Do you guys like these? It seams they are making them like the old ones again. Big transformers, 6 Caps, flying leads, etc. Without being modded, and a good distortion pedal, can these things do speed metal and heavy metal? I like the fact that I am hearing great reveiws about the newer ones and the good changes to them and that they are very loud and take pedals well. Opinions please. Thanks-Jack.
  19. Video link? On a somewhat related note, pun intended, Megadeth did one song, possibly the title track, from Countdown to Extinction on Letterman and were quite brutal. Dave was sober, Friedman was beyond impressive, and Nick Menza was flat-out destroying the drums! HERE YA GO!!!!!!!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LeJlpocIT4 Smokin man!! They were really good then. Jack.
  20. I would love to buy a new Custom made Chapp, but Hamer told me know many times. Yes, you can play metal on many types of guitars, but so many of them will never have the look of a Metal guitar such as a Cali/Chapp or a Jackson, etc. The look is what alot of us like along with the music. Jack.
  21. I have many of my ex-Hamers out there in the hands of Hamer Forum dudes Jack.
  22. That 1996 natural FM has me doing back flips!! My favorite color and super nice flame!! Please let me know if you ever sell it bro!! Thanks-Jack.
  23. It may sustain as long, but it will be brighter in tone. Heck, I even liked Alder(tone wise) over Korina. Jack.
  24. I have had both and I prefer Mahogany just for the fact it has a heavier rithym tone and more low/mids. Korina is kinda bright in my opinion. Jack.
  25. Yep, hate to say it, but Grovers are smoother than Schallers. The neck size Mark is the "Vintage" carve, so anyone can order the same size as that one you have now bro!! I am not sure what those pickups are lacking, but it is something, neads more low/mids. Jack.
