First up...

Melancon P90 Artist w/ "Boiled Crawfish" Redwood Top...and this one has a pretty nice sized neck for a Mel. Comes w/ G&G OHSC.

-I bought this guitar on a whim locally a little while back. I'm a Melancon lover first off, secondly--I recoreded my first album a couple years back almost exclusively w/ a Mel P90 artist...so I had fond memories, and lastly--the redwood top just got my motor running.

Like every Melancon I've ever owned...and I'm up to 8 owned at one point or another--this is a amazing guitar, and the build quality is second to none IMO. Gerard's got it going on.

This one is not perfect cosmetically, it has a few minor dings and a couple of scratches..all of which I've tried to capture in the pics. Otherwise, it's in fabulous shape...the guitar has not been played much. The guy I got it from was the original owner, and another Mel freak...he custom ordered this one from Gerard, and according to him--there was a substantial upcharge for the redwood top. Frets are in great condition, all electronics are perfect, the guitar plays and sounds amazing. Weight is 7 lbs accordig to the bathroom scale.

Larrivee OM70. These are rare birds. This guitar was made 2/10/94. The OM70 is a custom shop only model, I spoke to Mike Kitchen at Larrivee about this guitar, and was told that only a handful of these OM70's have ever been made through the custom shop.

As you can see, the attention to detail is second to none. Amazing abalone throughout. Abalone purfling and incredible inlay work on the headstock. Rosewood binding. These custom shop models are known for their choice hand picked woods...East Indian Rosewood back and sides, Sitka Spurce top w/ some nice silking on the top. Ebony board. 25.5" scale, comes w/ under saddle pickup which was installed before I got it. The nut and saddle are bone. Has the clear plastic pickguard on it.

This guitar has been played very little...the frets are in very good shape. I'm the second owner, the original owner had it custom ordered from Larrivee, and he played it very little as he had an acoustic guitar collection that would rival most any.

The guitar does have a professionally cleated repair of a crack on the top. It's barely noticiable visually. I've taken it to two luthiers, one of which worked for Tacoma and Guild, and both said this is a quality repair w/ no effect whatsoever on the performance of the guitar. The guy who worked for Guild and Tacoma was very familiar w/ Larrivee's, and said he was almost positive this cleating was done at the Larrivee factory...anyway, don't let this concern you. It's a non-issue.

Comes w/ a nice 5 latch Larrivee OHSC. I will also throw in a LR Baggs Gig Pro preamp I use w/ the guitar sometimes to give myself some EQ control...it's yours for a full price offer on the guitar. The guitar has had a recent pro setup as well.

Last, but definitely not least...a Ron Kirn Signature Thinline tele. In fabulous shape...I don't have all the specs on the Kirn. It's an absolutely amazing telecaster in every way...Ron is definitely in the top 5 tele builders out there.

Serial # is 0190, manufacture date is September 2008.

It's got a pretty standard C shape neck. I don't have calipers on me right now, but comparing it to the Melancon, the necks are very close. So, i's probably in the .85 range at the first fret, and at the .92 range at the 12th.

Alder body, maple neck and board. Kirn hand woud vintage style pickups. 4 way switch....startig from the bridge--positions 1,2, and 3 are traditional tele switching. The 4th position (nearest the neck) is neck and bridge in series...very robust sounding! Comes w/ a mint TKL case.

The guitar was sent to Ron for a setup a couple months back and he did a fabulous job. The guitar is near mint...w/ only some minor pick swirls on the pickguard. Weight is 6 lbs accordig to the bathroom scale.
