Buster Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 I used to have the Classic 50 head with the FX loop. I liked it a lot, but I didn't have the use for it. It sounded really good at higher volumes when driving the EL84's...nice and AC/DC dirty with a great, nearly 100% clean channel. I went to the Tech 21 stuff because I love the ability to record direct, but if I wasn't with that, I would have gone back to the Classic 30...it's just a good solid amp...Erik
tomteriffic Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 Lee, it was pretty Vox-y, nice smooth OD. No sound clips, sorry, mine's been modded. My gripe with it was that it was impossible to hit a sweet spot where you could go from pretty clean to pretty dirty with your guitar's volume knob.
