analogsystem Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 2012 ES-335 in satin black transparent. Very nice guitar with fully bound neck plus fret edge binding. 60s neck feels medium profile to me, 7.75 lbs, Gibson 57 classic pickups, original hardshell case, certificate of authenticity, set up with 11 gauge strings, low action, and plays great. Some minor swirling in the satin finish, only noticeable at certain angles / lighting. One little white mark on the back of the heel. Overall very good condition and perfect functionality. I love this guitar and will definitely miss it but I have a wedding to pay for and am only playing in one band right now which doesn't call these tones. I searched for one of these in this color for a while (that I could afford) and this guitar does not disappoint. Looking to get $1800 so we can work out the details on payment / shipping for whatever works best for you. I'd prefer to ship fedex so that will probably be $60-90 depending on where you are. No trades please unless you have a Newport and $700 - then we can talk Thanks very much, Dave
analogsystem Posted December 5, 2014 Author Posted December 5, 2014 bump - gotta pay for wedding stuff!
lockjawnight Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 I thought the satin black was the Chris Cornell issue? Did they continue with the finish beyond that run?Nice guitar....good luck. 335's are rockers. I just really didn't appreciate Malcolm Young as much until I plugged a semi-hollow into a Marshall. Now, he's the man.
analogsystem Posted December 21, 2014 Author Posted December 21, 2014 This one predates the Chris Cornell model I believe. Don't know if it is true or not but a salesman told me that Cornell bought a satin black 335 (like the one I have for sale) and installed the Lollartrons in it, resulting in the inspiration for his signature model. I actually thought about putting some Lollars in it but that would be more $$$ going the wrong direction....haha
