zorrow Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Someone here does remember Heir Apparent? Listening to some old albums of mine, I stumbled upon "One Small Voice" and put it in the car. It's a great album, sadly frequently overlooked by Queensryche/Crimson Glory/Fates Warning fans. My 4 y/o son happens to like it, so it's been spinning in my car for two days already. This is the album opener, just as a small sample: And this is their metalized cover of "The Sound Of Silence", which is just terrific, IMHO: BTW, their leader, Terry Gorle, is an OK guitarist but a great songwriter and an excellent arranger. And their singer in that album, Steve Benito, could actually hit the right notes in the style of Geoff Tate and Midnight, a true master of metal operatic vocals. Those who like this stuff, you will enjoy!
