jerseydrew Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Can anybody please educate me about this pedal? I keep hearing good things about it but I really don't understand the fascination. Also, what's the deal with the serial numbers? That seems to be important. Thanks in advance.
DavidE Posted December 12, 2005 Author Posted December 12, 2005 I'd suggest checking out the description and clips at Fulltone.com. I'd also suggest a search on thegearpage.netI had it on my board, but I ended up sticking with my old Fulldrive for 99% of my gain needs and either my old Rat or a Hermida Mosferatu for higher gain stuff.
hamersandstrats Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Here's a clip with the OCD through a Fender Deluxe Reverb RI. It's a nice pedal, adds cool overtones, but not a lot of mids like a tubescreamer. Its very sensitive to the volume knob of your guitar.http://www.soundclick.com/util/downloadSon...&key=B8613214-5
Guest Mike Lee Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Tubescreamers work great with amps that don't have a lot of mids, especially black face Fenders. If your amp already has enough mids, Tubescreamers can be TOO midrangey. The OCD works well with that kind of amps. It's more like an old Marshall sound.
