chewie37 Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Hey gang,I've got a black B12L that has to go to make room for the B12S that followed me home the other day. Based on the serial (540129) I think it's a '95. Cosmetically it's in very good shape, but it's had a hard life mechanically. When I bought it 4 years ago the EMG's (and control system) had been removed for passive pickups and controls. I put a set of EMG DC-35's back in, along with a set of EMG BTS controls. That took care of things for a while, but about 8 months ago I noticed that I couldn't get the bass to stay in tune. I'm no expert, but even I could put 2 + 2 together and figure out that the fact that the bridge was pulling out of the body probably was the culprit. So off it went to Greg in PA for some TLC. The bridge is now once again solidly attached to the body (with a bit of black pickguard material between the bridge and the body) and the bass sounds great.Naturally that leads to the question - if the bass is now so great, why am I selling it. Well, 25 years of pounding a computer keyboard has made the extra tension of the long scale neck a bit of a pain (literally). The lower tension on the B12S is much more comfortable for me.Here's a link:$850 shipped in the US. Contact me if you're interested . . .
