1965 Fender Vibrolux Reverb in very good condition.

No trades, thanks. Would prefer a local sale in MA/NH/VT/CT

SOLD

I have a ton of of pictures (tranny's, tube label, gut shots), if you are interested, just DM me.

Reverb and Tremolo sound luscious, as they should on these amps. Considered by many to be the ultimate combo among made during the BF years.

Speaker grille and tolex are in very good condition for a 57-year old amp.

It looks like at some point there were 2 holes drilled in the bottom of the cab (see pictures), and there are 2 metal threaded pieces still there.

Amp has been turned on every few months but not used in years, I am playing through other amps these days.

Includes a padded Studio Slips cover.

Everything is original with the exception of:

  • 2 large capacitors under the cap can (old ones are included)
  • 3-prong power cord
  • “Death cap” removed
  • A mid-boost pot added to the “Ext Speaker” hole. If the pot is at the far-left (off), midrange is stock. As you turn up the pot, midrange and some boost get added to the 2nd channel. This is totally reversible and the original speaker jack and lead are included.

Has the AA864 Circuit and “OF” Stamp, Production Date June 1965

Transformer Codes: 125A6A/-606-5-13, 125C3A/-606-5-13, CSA TEST 125P26A/606438.

Speakers: Oxford 10L5, Manufactured in 1964

I have a 65' AA864 Bassman, beautiful tone! I always though the Vibrolux was an AB 763 circuit, so I learned something new. My '64 Bandmaster is AB763, it is mellower than the AA864, which has a growl all it's own!!!
