I have slowing watch this once great musical buying and selling site slide. I'm afraid they're circling in the toilet now. Customer support is just plain crap. No humans no resolutions. They have the money but won't release it! Just AI Chat that spits out preprogrammed responses. Not Acceptable! If you're going to charge for a service you should provide that service as best you can. All the time. It's all about profit now! Damn the customer! Support personall cut into the profit!!!

Is the Nobels Overdrive the best ever?
Dutchman replied to santellavision's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Uncle Larry loves his No Balls! I love his sense of humor! He cracks me up with some of his stuff. Awesome player! The best, effortlessly! Like he said play 16 hours a day for 30 years he's got the guitar dialed in. As for as the No Balls, I think there is a time and place for many different overdrives. I have one and I like it. I don't like it's buffer. As I've stated before I like Barber Overdrives. You step on the pedal and the noise floor does not increase like many others. Hand wired and top quality components. Try a Gain Changer or Direct Drive. They're different but in a good way. They're very amp like just like the No Balls. All are top flight and person preferences vary. So own many!!! -
I just discovered this! It's called "Moises" I bought the $29.99 version and so far very impressed. I record a song to learn off of YouTube thru my computer speakers. Then the app sorts the parts out to what ever you want. I've been breaking it down to Drums, Bass, Guitar, Vocals. This gives you volume control over those parts. So I turn down the guitar and vocal parts about 1/2 till I get comfortable with the parts then I turn them off. So now I'm covering the vocals and guitar to the original bass and drums! Talk about learning and being prepared for reheasal!! Where has this been all my life! It also scolls the chord changes across the top. Tells you the BPM and let's you slow it down without changing pitch for the speedy fingers parts. I'm just learning how to use it, but I think it's a useful tool!! https://moises.ai/

Joe Bonamassa just posted a pic of this Hamer
Dutchman replied to santellavision's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I've always liked Joe. Respected his skills and loved seeing all his toy's. I don't know the man but he doesn't seem to be like Certain other big prick guitar gods. -
Does anyone remember when they piled up a shit load of brand new guitars and ran over them with a Dozer? I hope they kept that Dozer handy. It looks like a Tulip being molested by a hockey stick. I guess they didn't understand why no one built one in the 65 years since it was designed. It's FUGLY!!!

You'll have to let us know how it cuts thru the mix. I have the same pup's in a Newport 12 String and they have the perfect jangle with a compressor. I'm wondering if they cut like a P90 on a six string.

You're correct there are several 763 circuits. There is a commonality to the sound some are simpler while other have more stuff and are more complex. I was just listening and it sounded like a Blackface 763 type circuit. So my statement was not meant to be 100% specific. But an in the ballpark sound. That was to my ears. Someone else may hear it differently.

PSA: GC T-51

Does it float? @hamerhead was looking! -
Sounds like a 763 clone. Which is very good. If not the best. Old 763 circuits are in the backline of nearly every major show. I know I love mine!

The hall of fame/museum is a great day. If your into recording or Elvis the studio tour is cool. The take you right from the HOF. What look like homes are mostly recording studios in the downtown area. I walked right into a video shoot at a novelty store. They should of blocked the door. I didn't know. So there is stuff going on all over in that town. There's a pizza place in Galliton that's awesome. Of course there's the mega mall with the gondolas and tropical plants and expensive shit. Don't forget to hit all the guitar stores. And remember they sell to millionaires so don't faint when you look at a price tag. It's still fun to look!!

I use 1 of those speakers in my home made Leslie paired with a creamback on the top speaker. It's a great blend with a Bandmaster. -
Another hero gone. For years three Rasberries songs where on the set lists. Tonight, I want to be with you and Go all the way. What a career and truly one of the great power pop writers EVER!!! RIP Mr Carmen and thank you for the music!

Kinda pricey... but... you know.... -
I started with a Boss 505 loop station figuring I could figure out how they where doing all that cool shit. After the realization that there was black magic involved I got a 1 button Ditto looper. You still have to get the timing right or your loop is ass chump. I play thru to a metro till I got it right and step on the button on the 1 and keep playing for thru the the next progression hitting the button on the 3 count of the beginning again. This way you play thru the 1 and it's seamless thru the 3. Go simple!!

‘72 Fender The Twin (red knob) parts source?
Dutchman replied to JGale's question in Ask the HFC Experts
That's not a 72. Sorry. I used amplified parts for most parts. I'm sure it's just a spin off of some larger sales store. The PCP stuff is relatively easy to fix. But it does require exaxct fit. Pull one out and should have a part number. Then possibly Mouser might have the part in inventory yet. I had to replace all the pots on a 90's Peavey bass amp a while ago and sourced them out of mouser. Good luck!! -
I got a pickguard for my Daytona from Pickguard Planet. Would highly recommend!

B-string slipping out of tune- what helps this?
Dutchman replied to soli'd's question in Ask the HFC Experts
I know some that solder the unwound strings at the ball end when their whammy hammy. They claim it works. SIT strings used to do that and had a piece of tubing on them also. I used them when I abused my Kahlers and Floyd's. I felt they where great strings and once dialed and stretch I could shake my guitar by the whammy bar and they'd stay in tune! -
FS- Neck-Thru Cali Clone- $1000

Man! I love that color! Nice guitar too! I should have Stike paint my Special that color!! -
I have not met Uncle Doug. He guards his identity as best he can. I have found his videos to be extremely informative and educational. I believe he is enjoying his hot rods more so than fixing amp as of late. He's 100% old school. I like that! Another cyber repair shop is Psonic(sp) he's raw and honest but he's on top of amp repairs. He's out of Memphis. So. If your in that region he'd be a good one!
