Willie G. Moseley Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 Unsure if I've posted this image here previously; if so, it was probably a cropped version, and this is the full-width original picture. I just realized that last New Year's Eve was the half-century mark for the 1973 gig where this photo was taken--a ball at a National Guard armory in Montgomery, Alabama. That's a 1970 Guild S100 Polara (first year for the Gibson SG-shaped body) with an original (and crummy) Hagstrom vibrato. Ergonomically, I thought it was more comfortable than an SG. A peer of mine in San Diego opined that the shirt "looks loud even in black and white," and yes, the pants are double-knit.
