Blueshound Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Time to move some stuff I haven't used much. I'm selling my tweed 5F-1 Weber Chassis with upgraded caps and resistors. It was professionally wired by Tom Dean (TD Amplification). He did a really nice job on this-very clean wiring and soldering. Ready to drop into the cabinet of your choice. Looking to get $250+shipping. Why spend $100 on the pc board Epiphones when you can get a handwired champ for cheap? Here is the ad from when I bought the amp originally. "Up for sale is a chassis based on a 5F1 tweed Champ circuit. The chassis is built from a WeberVST chassis kit, with a Weber power and output transformers (4 ohm OT), Sprague Atom electrolytics, Mallory 150s, carbon comp. resistors, Switchcraft jacks, 1/4" speaker jack, Fender-style pilot light (with amber lens) and more. Hand-wired with cloth-covered wire. This is a great-sounding amp with plenty of grind. I have set the amp up with a solid-state rectifier circuit (for more guts when driven hard) and it is wired to allow for 6L6 or EL-34." Thanks for looking. Lee
Guest galejt Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 I checked with Ted Weber. He can make you up a head cab cutout for this chassis or a 1 x 8, 1 x 10, 1x 12 combo cabinet as well. Lots of choices for coverings too. Imagine an aged tweed ($25 extra) cabinet with a Blue Dog and an EL34 in that puppy.

NewOldCokeDave Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 My pleasure!! I plan on housing it in a small 1-10 or 1-12 cabinet and making it into a "Super" Champ.. Run a 6V6, 5881, 6L6, EL34, KT66... Not too big, yet not too small Many Thanks again!! -Dave
