qballman Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Looking to trade my PRS for a Gibson Les Paul. It is a great guitar but I have 2 other PRS's and need a Gibson. Please email me at jqballer1@yahoo.com and I will send you pictures. It has wide/fat neck with Bird inlays but not as wide as my McCarty. Has stock push/pull on tone control to split humbuckers. Trem as all PRS trem's stay perfectly in tune. OHSC.Thanks for looking.jqballer1@yahoo.com570-878-9906

qballman Posted September 26, 2007 Author Posted September 26, 2007 David, don't get me wrong, it is an excellent and versatile guitar especially since it has a Trem and single coil splitting. It's like having a Custom 22 but has more fullness & bottom because of only 1 cutaway. It's just that I have another Singlecut and a McCarty and miss having a heavy LP. Sounds crazy but I guess I am bored. What do you have for trade??????? Also, I always agree to trade back if the other person is not satisfied. I'm 49 and never ripped off anyone. Thanks,John
DavidE Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I have two CU22s that I gig with, a McCarty and a McSoap so I totally dig PRS geetars. Your description tempts me, but I have but one LP and don't think I could part with it.

qballman Posted September 27, 2007 Author Posted September 27, 2007 Stefan, thank you!!!!! No, you are "The Man". We have had a coast to coast trading relationship that would make others blush. Most trusting individual I have ever not met in person. Thank you again Buddy!

Jeff R Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 What are you looking for in a LP that you don't have with the PMS? I never tried a single cut. You may want to try one, I still can't put mine down (a 2003 one). The best way I can describe it is they took a few minor issues I had with LPs and fixed them. I played Pauls for the most part in the 90s, a mix of Standards and Customs. I like my Singlecut's 25" scale, makes the notes a little spankier but you've still got the phat you'd want a Paul for. The neck heel is shaved down so you can actually get to all 22 frets easily. The stock #7 pickups in mine are perfect for the guitar, fat but full of clarity, which still kind of puzzles me because I have historically detested PRS pickups across the board. The Scut has a subtle belly cut too that's comfy. They typically weigh in about 10 to 11 pounds. Mine's 8 pounds even and ultra resonant. Here she is posing with Cajun Boy's R7...
DavidE Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 Well, I love my PRSi, but I prefer a coffee table top and my LP is a Standard Premium Plus. Maybe if Qball's was a flametop.
KH Guitar Freak Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Just to share pics of my Mark Tremonti USA... I've just gave her a thorough cleaning, restringing, and setup... She's all pretty and nice feeling now...
