collarguy Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 I have a 96 Hamer Mirage II I'd like to sell. It is all original except the control knobs and trem bar. The inclided trem bar works fine. 59 neck pickup and JB Bridge. Medium neck. The condition is not perfect due to some hameritis, minor scratches, and two small dings in the back of the neck. The guitar sounds and plays great. A USA Hamer case that fits a newport (not a perfect fit for the mirage but with a little foam it works) is included. The case is in good shape. Price is $700 firm plus shipping and Paypal. email me for pics. Thanks for looking. http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh289/l...rguy/58c8_0.jpg http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh289/l...rguy/513c_0.jpg http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh289/l...rguy/5234_0.jpg http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh289/l...rguy/546e_0.jpg http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh289/l...guy/5002_12.jpg
FrankieII Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 I would think this one is koa since the maple top version wasn't offered until later.
collarguy Posted December 5, 2007 Author Posted December 5, 2007 I forgot the most interesting part. It's a blue maple flame top that turns a little blue green in the light. I tried to post some pics but was blocked. I had an email asking if I would sell it without the case. $650 plus shipping and paypal without case.
silentman Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Kool Blue?use photobucket.com to upload your pics and then link to them.
holLoWskull Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 I would think this one is koa since the maple top version wasn't offered until later. Actually I've owned two 1996 Mirage II maple tops, so the maple tops were definitely out in 1996 along with the koa top ones as well. I've played collarguy's 96' kool blue Mirage II a few times, nice chunkier side of medium neck and not too heavy. Insane flame to the top too...get pictures up to show it off! That's a pretty good price for one of them too...you sure you don't want to hang on to that one collarguy? You'll be kicking yourself later on
hamersandstrats Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Those are the most underrated Hamers of all time. I think they sound better than the Studios/Special FMs and they have a trem that stays in tune.
mrhappy Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Nice color on this one!! Someone should but it!
