Fralin underwound P-90 set

I have a set of underwound P-90s that I put in a mahogany P-90 Special, but I am selling the Special, so the pickups are also available.

I was looking for a better blues/jazz/classic rock tone, so I spoke with Lindy about the wind on these. He recommended a -8 bridge / -18 neck wind to get a more '50s output without losing the P-90 grind. The neck pickup has the Gibson style braided leads and the bridge has the two conductor shielded leads for versatility. I used it as a phase switch, so that I could get stratty quack sounds in the middle position. The pickups are RW/RP to one another for noise reduction in the middle pickup.

The long and short of it is that these pickups sound great in my Special. I get a great grind sound with overdrive, but they also clean up beautifully, and the middle position with the out of phase sounds exactly how I hoped they would. This set covers a lot of ground from strat to tele to vintage P-90.

They come with cream covers, and I have three gold Gibson-style knobs I can throw in if you want them.

I'd like $130 for the pair, shipped USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation to anywhere in the continental US. I am willing to ship via a different method. I would prefer a USPS money order for payment, but I will also take PayPal if you pay the fees.

So, why am I selling this? I just don't play the electric guitar much. My family has changed (grown and re-grown,) my oldest is home from college after suffering a very bad accident, my wife is at home all of the time and trying to work, and I don't see myself rocking out on electric for a long, long time. Maybe you can get some mileage out of them.

man this is tempting but I don't know about the "under-wound" part. I have the stock Duncans in my special and they are pretty high and I believe they are the "hot" model

Installed them in my Archtop GT on Saturday and they're AMAZING!!! Just enough grind when you need it but still smooth and creamy sounding.

They're keepers...thanks mr. papa
