specialk Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Man I hope I got these pictures right... Here is a lovely Carvin DC-135 of Maple/Koa with a stunning Birdseye maple fingerboard. Also has rounded sides, Floyd Rose Trem w/locking nut and Sperzel tuners. Hoping to use it and some cash to trade for a Hamer Korina (preferably solidbody) model with humbuckers. If not it is for sale by itself. I can email more pictures and give more details if you're interested. Thanks for looking! specialk ON EDIT: Don't want to mess with ebay. $500 and I pay shipping.
specialk Posted June 24, 2008 Author Posted June 24, 2008 Guess no one wants to get rid of their Korina Standards, . Oh well, it was worth a shot.... I'm gonna put this on the bay this weekend. This'll be my first item to sell on ebay, so if anyone has any advice on the desc., I'd appreciate the help! I am hoping to get $700-$900 for it. So here goes the full description if anyone is interested in buying it: For your consideration is a custom shop Carvin-DC135 with a five piece neck through style of Maple and Koa woods with the optional “V” headstock. Very cool and clean looking. The body is Koa with rounded body sides, and the top is AAAA flame Maple 3/8” thick. The headstock matches the top. A Floyd Rose locking nut down to an original Floyd Rose tremolo and premium Sperzel locking tuning machines hold the strings. Pickup configuration is humbucker, single, single, with on/off switches for each and master volume and tone knobs. A key feature on this piece is the stunning Birdseye Maple fingerboard. The pictures don't do it justice. This is a collectors item that plays like a dream, but don’t be fooled by its gorgeous looks alone. This guitar is a TONE BEAST that delivers the goods! The condition is 9.5 out of 10, with one miniscule ding, like the point of a pencil, on the back. The ding does not go through the finish to the wood; otherwise it is pristine. There is no serial number on the guitar. I do not know what year it was built. The guitar has just had a complete setup with new strings. Comes with a new Carvin Tweed HSC, case keys, Schaller Floyd Rose tremolo bar, spare bar coupler, spare truss rod cover, truss rod/cavity cover tool and extra set of strings. This is a one of a kind custom guitar, built in the USA. Please ask all questions up front as this is an “as-is” sale. All sales are final. No refunds given except for item being not as described. Buyer pays shipping for returns. If you have less than three positive feedbacks or any negative feedbacks, please do not bid as your bid will be cancelled. This item ships from ZIP code 64116. This auction is open to the Lower 48 contiguous USA states only! Thanks for looking!
Thundernotes Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Nice guitar - good luck with the sale. I'd suggest adding a tally of what it would cost a prospective buyer to have Carvin build another one new. (not their suggested retail BS) You could post it over at the Carvin Museum site too.
specialk Posted June 29, 2008 Author Posted June 29, 2008 Okay folks, I really don't want to mess with ebay, so here goes:$500, and I pay shipping. Let me know if you're interested. It's a good one, I just don't play it much anymore, and guitars are built to be played. Thanks for looking.specialk
