No amp I'm afraid this is straight into a PC. OK I go into a Vox Tonelab LE and twin cable out in to a Yamaha 01X (Mixing desk,Sound Card, Controller etc) No FX at all on the Vox. From the 01X I go straight into my DAW which is Cubase 5.5.2 and this is where I get the tone I'm looking for by using Native Instrument Guitar Rig 4. No amp, but some Tube Compression, Chorus/Flanger, Treble Booster, Parametric Equalizer, Shelving Equalizer and lastly a pinch of Slap Back Reverb. Once the track is recorded I will use Izotope Ozone 4. If anyone uses Guitar Rig 4 I am quite happy to send them the preset. Lastly I used the 2nd position neck and bridge in parallel on the backing track with tone knob on 8 also the volume. On the lead I used the 3rd position neck and bridge in series with the tone knob on 5 same volume setting. Right hand using the fingers rather than a pick. Hope that all makes some sense? +1. It's beautiful. Thanks and I hope the above explains things. I'd recommend trading the Duesenberg for a Hamer Monaco. Two flawless guitars are better than one. Hmm I'm on the case even though my wife will most probably kill Irrespective of flaws the Duesenberg is a superb sounding instrument and you can hear it on "Lucia" and "Feeling Doosy" on my site. Having said that I am waiting for a shop in UK to get back to me on a possible deal as the transparent red Monaco 111 is giving me major GAS. I'll let you know what or when it happens.

You could be right I am a guitar freak and have no brand loyalty at all. Over the last three years I have owned and moved on a Tom Anderson Cobra S, Gretsch Country Club, Custom Strat, Gibson Limited Edition ES135 and lastly an LP Standard. Currently playing a Duesenberg TV Starplayer Outlaw and of course the Talladega. Tone is subjective and all the above guitars had their own distinctive one. The surprise out of them all is the Duesenberg which will twang and rock with the best with the bonus of a superb action. Now for pure build quality the Hamer wins hands down as I have always managed to find at least one flaw on a guitar and sometimes more but the Hamer is honestly flawless. Variety is the spice of life but I have the feeling both the Duesenberg and Hamer will be with me for some time. The only thing I could be tempted on is trading the Duesenberg for a Hamer Monaco 111 but that at the moment that is only a consideration or perhaps I should say it could be a temptation.

I'm a newbie but just to add to the get well wishes and I'm glad you are back. Not having been screwed in the sense that you have are those permanent?
