neat idea - i drilled a hole and installed a black killswitch into an EVH Star (at least i tried to hide it in a black stripe in the finish so it wasn't super obvious). At the time it was just a used guitar, not a 'collectible'. I bought it just because it was weird and i like the Dano headstock on the star body. Sold it later to a guy who collected EVH guitars.  It was a lot of fun to play with that killswitch though.  At least this would save my other guitars from the power drill/hole saw lol.
