Internet says Vanguard also came with the 3B. Of course @django49's may have been swapped out at some point before he made a change? The neck 2NL would indicate the winder was not MJ but may have been Lidia Daniel. SD website says the 3b pickup has output of 14.6k.

Here is a slightly different history of the original #0004 from the current auction. A Hamer Standard electric guitar, serial #0004, built in 1975 for Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick, who played it on stages all over the world from the mid-1970s through the mid-1980s. Rick can be seen playing this guitar at many concerts including on Don Kirchner’s Rock Concert on November 10th, 1977. Rick’s association with luthier Paul Hamer began in 1973 when Rick sold him a sunburst Les Paul Standard, which Paul later sold to fund Hamer Guitars. In 1975, Rick wanted a real, original Gibson Explorer of of his own, but with so few made they were hard to come by; Rick asked Paul to make him one with a flame maple top, the very instrument in this lot. This guitar took quite a long time to produce, so Paul sent Rick his personal guitar, serial #0000, as a loaner until the natural model was finished. Rick liked it so much that he bought them both. 
 Those two initial Hamer Standards are easily some of his most recognizable guitars –– checkerboard patterns and five-neck behemoths notwithstanding –– thanks to their feature set as well as the unique figuring of their flame maple tops. Natural model #0004 appears in innumerable photos and concert footage spanning the 1970s and 1980s and is easily one of the most important guitars of his career. Hamer even ran an ad which featured Rick with this guitar.

I got this guitar. There is an old post on HFC and on Gear Page referencing it being sold at an LA-area guitar center. This is from 2020 on TGP "That pink Hamer of hers popped in Guitar Centers used inventory in LA about ten years ago for like $900. I nearly broke the phone trying to call but missed it." This is from @polara on here in 2014: "That Junior was in a west coast Guitar Center a few years back. I saw the ad and freaked - it was like $500 - but when I called someone had snagged it." AND your memory is backed up here @GC Ron "And if iirc it was listed as a Kramer. That's how I missed it." Good question! From @Hamerica: I believe that the guitar in question is #0004 and originally was a gift from Rick Nielsen to Robin Zander. Hencefore, the nickname Zandard. If you have purchased the recently released 30th Anniversary at Budokan, you can get a couple of shots of the Zandard in action with Rick. It is also on page 125 of the Guitars of the Stars book that Bill Rich put out a few years ago. The Elduave run of three is one of the coolest limited Standard runs in a long time. From @elduave Jol and I where talking. The conversation steered to the run of 3 Standards I wanted built that where to color match the Guitars Of The Stars #0004. He referred to them as the Zander Standards. I asked why, he said that #0004 was made for Robin, but Rick absorbed it into his stash. Later I just put the 2 words together, ZANDer stanARD.

*2006 Hamer Standard, one of 3 produced for Rocketeria in Maryland modeled on #0004 as pictured in Guitars of the Stars. Serial number ending in 80, as opposed to 78 and 79. See replies and links for more of the history. Provenance: @elduave to @bubs_42 to @tommy p. 9.4 lbs according to kitchen scale. Additional $100 for shipping.
