Another Hartke question....

This Hartke bass amp is going to get used as a monitor for Roland electric drums. It's got good punch and volume but needs some high end. I have a pair of Realistic(!!!) horns that still work(!) that I'd like to use.

The amp's speaker output is 4 ohm. I don't know the ohmage of the horns (they don't read on my meter and I can't find info online). Can I use a 'Y' cable from the output and run speaker wires off that? Or can I just hook red-to-red and black-to-black and let 'er rip (my original plan.....)?

My goal is to not damage the amplifier when it's run for a few hours kranked up.

Thanks again!

Isn't this fun??

Those Realistic horns are probably piezo types and you wouldn't read anything.  Use this source for some recommendations:

They ARE piezos, and that is a lot of really good info there. Thank you!
