 Hello, fairly new to the forum but a Hamer Fan. I scored a 4 digit Standard #221 a while back (EBAY) some guy had her on their with a BUY IT NOW of lets just say not much. Anyway the original pickups are not in her she had what appears to be a 500T out of a Framptone Paul and a Patent # Pickup in the neck. I have one other hamer a 92 Sunburst and I love the Jb/59 combination. ONE PROBLEM, I love the double cream look in the bridge so i'm on the hunt for a DOUBLE CREAM JB, anyone have one that they would like to part with? I would love it to be close to the same area as possible as the guitar and I am also on the hunt for a 59 of that Era as well in Black/Creme. If anyone can be of any help it would be appreciated.

:) SADLY I DO NOT HAVE PICS AVAILIBLE OF MY STANDARD, BUT WHEN THE WIFE GETS HOME I'LL BE POSTING A FEW THIS WEEKEND.

Duncan can't do double creme pups man. Unlesssss, a custom shop order, they leave the factory with covers on them. I have a double creme Dimarzio that came out of an 82' Special though...if you desire it :) ???

They made them in the early day's and during the 80's, I've seen um.... I didn't say this would be easy! I bought a 79 dimarzio paf double creme in the box for the neck position and was thinking of putting it in, but I'm not sure if the bridge is going to be hot enough? I like the balls of a JB and the way it cleans up when you back it off, good mids to Balaced!!!.

True it won't be easy, I think it's damn near impossible. Myself, I'd swipe one of those old double creme Dimarzios that came in those old Hamers here or on the bay. Period correct. Or just buy a new, or used, JB/59 set and throw some bobbin covers on them.
