holLoWskull Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 I just discovered something very interesting. After purchasing a set of Tonepros locking studs for my 95' Studio, I discovered that while the studs on the Hamer tailpieces are metric thread, the studs for the wraparound bridge (at least the one I have anyway) are SAE threads. The stud's threaded bushings appear to be brass and everything looks factory stock, but metric studs will not fit I thought all USA Hamers used metric studs...live and learn. Anyway, does anyone out there have a new or like new set of gold plated, brass Tonepros II studs in SAE thread that they'd be interested in trading for a basically brand new set of metric threaded ones for? I took them out of the package, tried to screw one in, met some resistance and realized the thread was wrong, so they're essentially brand new. By the time I return these ones, I'd be only making UPS richer, so I'll see if I can find a taker willing to trade first. I'd also be willing to sell these outright, but I want to see if any swaps/trades materialize first. Model I have are SGM1 and I need SGS1.
