BadgerDave Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 This is a guitar I assembled last year as a prototype of what I would propose as the perfect modern Telecaster. Parts include: Warmoth thinline (chambered) mahogany body with 5A flame Koa top Warmoth Fatback (1" non-tapered) mahogany neck Ebony fretboard, compound radius Stainless steel jumbo frets unbleached bone nut Hipshot bridge (string-through body) Note: the pictured graphtech saddles didn't sound good on this guitar and have been replaced with the original gold plated steel Hipshot saddles) Under 7 lbs. Gotoh Kluson-style staggered height locking tuners Harmonic Design Z-90 pickups with tortoise shell top bobbins tortoise shell topped gold dome knobs The guitar sounds HUGE! It has a few slight nicks and marks on it from changing out parts and hardware as I was tinkering with the optimal features. It also has some very slight playwear. Nothing even slightly serious. I'll sell for about what I have in it in parts - $800.00 plus shipping. I can add a gigbag or case if you need one for extra $ Add 3% for PayPal
