RacerX Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Looking for 2 original metal trem cavity cover plates, long thin style to fit a Cali and a SS1. Thanks! Mark.
serial Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Look in the dryer vent where all the other socks go. I swear, these things disappear like crazy. I pulled out my SS2s a week or so ago and while one has the original backplate (with the plastic still on it, believe it or not), I have to dig around to see if I can find the one for the other. I've got some back plates and pickguards in my parts stash, so it may have ended up there...
RacerX Posted November 1, 2006 Author Posted November 1, 2006 All I seem to find in the washer or dryer are my lost picks... M.
RacerX Posted November 2, 2006 Author Posted November 2, 2006 Bumpity and the magic word... Ummmmm... Please? Mark.
scepter-V-lemmy Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I have some around, I always leave them off of my Calis, Chappies and my Steve. I use hipshot tremsetters, and they rub on the cover if I leave them on, plus it's a hassle to keep taking the cover off whenever adjusting the spring tension is needed.Plus, fretsonthenet.com should be able to make a repro for you. I just gave Dave a blank cover for a template.
