Kilroy is all about... Posted November 8, 2006 Author Posted November 8, 2006 Those Matchless boxes are about HALF the going price.Well don't tell KILROY that!that's funny.....i've got a bunch of killer CULT cds (box sets, live stuff) that i'm dubbing for ya, because you're doing the cult tribute thing. Perhaps you'll find some different and interesting versions of tunes to incorporate into you setlist...but for four-digits, i generally sell items at or below my cost, so others can use the gear that should be played rather then being an inventory item.kilroy postsI'll take both of the Matchless boxes...and I have no intention of selling them.PM SENT!!please tell us the story about the wildflowers' drunken dude who took you guitar and played i want you to want me or something...and, then on the 15th, i'll accept your paypal: rgkilroy@yahoo.comthat's a killer funny story...Peace B w/U...you want the JJ's..not the snotting 'funkens or other tubes...correct?
edgar_allan_poe Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 please tell us the story about the wildflowers' drunken dude who took you guitar and played i want you to want me or something... ROTFLMAO!!! Ok...here it goes... We are playing the Hard Rock Cafe...or as elduave puts it "another menu venue" The place is friggin packed and we are just smokin that night. Seriously, we were nailing everything we played. The Darkness was playing an amphitheater about 2 blocks from the venue. Right in the middle of our second set, some dude in a tie comes over to our other guitar player and starts to talk to him. We have serious dead air so I decide to play some Skid Row for the amazingly hot chicks who are in front of the stage screaming for some Skid Row. After a few seconds, Jay (other guitar player) tells me to hold up. Dude in the tie gets on the mic and proceeds to tell the audience that we have some superstars in the audience...blah blah blah blah blah.... "Please welcome the singer from the multi platinum band The Wildflowers....GINGER!!! (cheers from crowd) Ginger gets up, takes a quick look at our list and wants to play I want you to want me. Forget the fact that we already played it in our first set and nailed it. We agree. Ginger asks me for my guitar...a brand new Hamer Korina V..and I tell him "NO". We start the song and Ginger is up there waving his dreads around and jumping all over the place while we play the tune. To be frank....he was fucking awful. Seriously. His voice cracked more times than safety glass after being hit with a tire iron. After the tune he gets a polite response from the crowd, but nothing like we were getting. He waves and gets off the stage. Our singer gets back on and says (into the mic) "Who the hell was that guy?" Some dude in the front yells "WHO GIVES A FUCK!!!!!!!!" ROTFLMAO!!! I have all of this on video, and it is hilarious. Ginger wrote later in his online journal that he "nailed the tune" . Well I have it on video...and the motherfucker sounded like someone was kicking a dog. HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA I have got to find a way to post that video...you guys would die laughing.

Perhaps you'll find some different and interesting versions of tunes to incorporate into you setlist...Well I ain't doin' the Cult tribute thing no mo', but I'll be happy to check that stuff out. And if that Guyatone trem is still available, I might as well take that off your hands too. Just throw it all in the same box.Let me know and I can Paypal ya.Edited to say: ah, maybe not on the trem. 12 volt power. Not sure that'd work with my Pedal Power.
