I want to buy one of the reissue strats, either a '57 or '62, both in fact, but absolutely cannot bring myself to pay the 1000 to 1300 that everyone seems to be commanding for these things. Anyone who can turn me on to a good deal for one of these things gets a perfectly functional, blatantly regifted Starbucks gift card worth $25. Thanks in advance for your help.

Turdus Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 There's an Ocean Turquoise '62 reissue, near me, for $950. I've not followed them recently, but I thought that was fairly inexpensive.

I'm with you on those - I have an AVRI Jazzmaster on my "short" list, but am still looking for a deal to make that reasonable for me. The best Fender Strat I've ever owned was an '89 "Mary Kaye" '62 RI. I would love to find one that good again someday...
