Here we have a 1985 Canadian market Marshall JCM 800 2204 50 watt head. Very nice shape , no issues. Amp can be had as is with all Old Stock tubes or for less with new production. Old stock consist of a matched pair of Mullard XF2 EL34's, Telefunken, Amperex and Mullard 12AX7's or new production Mullard EL34 reissues, Tung Sol RI, JJ and GT 12AX7M tubes in the pre-amp section. I have the back panel, it was off for the pic. The Canadian market JCM has vertical inputs w/ pots mounted to the chassis, metal toggle switches instead of plastic rockers, 4 & 8 ohm inputs, extra/different fuse protection and came with EL34's instead of 6550's like the USA models. $1150 shipped with Old glass $975 shipped with new production glass I will only ship to the lower 48 states, NO PAYPAL, prefer USPS money orders. Custom made head cab by Mystik Cabs for Epiphone Valve Jr. head, American Red Oak w/ Mahogany panels, dovetailed joints, hand-rubbed finish, slide in your head and screw it down for $175 shipped. Sort of, It's a real slow process because I do them in my spare time and I have one being done now, one for Reinhardt after that and a Mesa re-cab after those. So, if you aren't in a rush...

srvwannab Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Brian was kind enough to get an Valve Jr., take it to his amp guy for the mods, and put in a gorgeous, custom made hardwood cab for me- I have Cherry w/ flame maple front and rear panels. Sounds good, looks even better. I'll get some pics up of the finished product- Its nice having something hand built out of hardwood in a world in which EVERYTHING is plastic and veneers. I couldn't be happier. How sick am I now I want the other freakin' cab he's got up here?! What in the world could I possible do with TWO of these? Beats me, but I'm sending him an email about the other one. When I saw Billy Squier around five years ago with Bad Company (great show...) Billy was playing a LP Jr. through a couple of JCM 800 heads- great guitar tone. I know Billy probably ain't everybody's cup of tea (I know that for a number of years I couldn't handle hearing The Stroke one more time...) but Billy had great rhythm chops and even better tone. If I hadn't just bought another Reeves amp, I'd be all over the JCM 800- Does any amp personify Classic Rock more than a JCM 800? just asking...
