Rocktuna Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 On Ebay there are these volume control boxes that you supposedly plug into your effects loop and you can then crank your amp up and use the box as an attenuator. Even my Prosonic is to loud for some of the places we play so I was thinking about trying one of these. Do they harm the amp, suck the tone ect. They're only about $20.00 shipped am I wasting my money?
straightblues Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 They are a waste of money. I built my own with like $5 worth the parts and it was still a waste. If you want an attenuator, buy one. This isn't it.
MCChris Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Save your money.I think Teleman sent me his and I never even bothered to try it; I paid it forward to someone on the Gear Page. It´s no different than having a volume pedal in your loop, and that ain´t the same as an attenuator.
