Great clean sound, Rythmn 2 is firmly in crunchy Marshall territory, especially with a pair of el-34's in the outer sockets, and the lead channel is pure singing bliss. Kick in the graph EQ in the "V" pattern, hit the dirty channel and it's Metallica city! If you only know Boogies from the Recto stuff, this is a much different animal. Notes simply explode out of these things and if you are the type of player who values great grit with total clarity(chugga, chugga), it doesn't get much better. If you hide behind lots of gain and like that sludgy mush tone, you'll be hung out to dry with it, however(stick a fuzzbox in front if mud is your thing, they still rule). I have a blue stripe that I have to sell now that I found my Mesa grail, and the green is an even better ride(sold my greenie head when I quit gigging). Plus, you will have amazing forearms after toting that sucker around for awhile! I watched that auction and am sorry to hear the buyer is a dork. Don't feel bad keeping it, they don't make them like that anymore and the greenie is gaining a rep as the cream that it is. Z
