peedenmark7 Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 hi guys, my bass player is looking for a cruise bass with a gotoh bridge. he's got one with the 2 tek and wants to experiment some. wish I could get him into a multi stringed bass, but he's pretty set in his ways. not sure what he's into color wise, I thought a matched headstock of some kind would be a good variation on the cruise theme for him.. he'll likely stay with a rosewood board, but dont be afraid to email a maple board one. he's pretty anal...so something on the cleaner side only please thanks!

peedenmark7 Posted April 8, 2007 Author Posted April 8, 2007 I meant an 8/12. but, there is a local tavern that I frequent that has a wonderfrul stumpf fiddle custom made to mock up a stand up bass fiddles neck, big wash tub on the bottom and has only one cat gut type string on what appears to be a long scale.... you'd be surprised how little you need on a bass, to play along with the bluegrass guys...
