Halowords Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Hey All, I am interested in possibly buying a Hamer Studio, either outright, or trading a '00 Gibson Les Paul Special toward one. My preference is to use PayPal. Also, I know I am under the 10-post preference, but I have posted under the Carvin Musum forum as Halowords, and have 100% feedback on eBay with the same user name. So . . . Anybody have a nice Hamer Studio they are looking to unload? My preference is toward a Natural, Tobacco, Sunburst, or Kool Blue burst, but color is not a huge sticking point. Green can be o.k., just not watermelon green. I think I would prefer a thicker/chunkier neck, but can play almost anything. Badly, perhaps, but I can still play them. If you have any questions feel free to post them or PM me. Otherwise, if there are any of you trying to sell your Hamer Studios, please let me know. -Cheers
errolsiegel Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 I have a nice 59 Burst Hamer Studio that I am thinking of selling. I recently picked up a custom black Studio Custom from a fellow HFCer and now I need to move something out.Let me know if you're interested.Errol
Halowords Posted May 16, 2007 Author Posted May 16, 2007 I am considering the '59 burst Studio. However . . .Does anybody have an all-mahogany Studio in a Sunburst with a thick neck and nice bass-response they are trying to sell? I believe that is what I am really looking for.**Edit: Sunburst OR Jazzburst. Looking up pictures under both colors I like them both. Not sure if they are the same thing or not, but I like the few pictures posted of them that I have come across.-Cheers
Jeff R Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 My local Hamer dealer has a NOS Mahogany Studio in the deep heritage cherry looking color. Nice big neck, plays and sounds great. He's had it a while and may be ready to cut a sweet deal on it. PM me if you want his contact information.
errolsiegel Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Here is a link to pictures I just posted of the 59 burst:http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19378
Brewmaster Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 My local Hamer dealer has a NOS Mahogany Studio in the deep heritage cherry looking color. Nice big neck, plays and sounds great. He's had it a while and may be ready to cut a sweet deal on it. PM me if you want his contact information. That's the ticket!!! That is exactly what I have. I doubt a burst of any kind will be found. If you get the 95 Studio you won't be sorry.

ericb Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 David, did you see this? Great price on an even better guitar. Justin is good to deal with as well.
Halowords Posted May 19, 2007 Author Posted May 19, 2007 David, did you see this? Great price on an even better guitar. Justin is good to deal with as well.Decisions, decisions. I guess it is between this one, Errol's '59 Burst Studio, or both . . .-Cheers
Guest Meshuggah Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 That will give you a semi-hollow all mahogany and a solid maple capped mahogany. Depending how you go with pups you can cover a lot of ground here. My personal preference at this time is VPAF/VPAF Hot in the solid, WCR Crossroads/Darkburst in the semi-hollow. And Fralin Unbuckers, either underwound like I have them (7.5K/8K) or I have had 8K/9K in there, definitely match well with 25th.
Halowords Posted May 28, 2007 Author Posted May 28, 2007 Here is a link to pictures I just posted of the 59 burst: http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19378 I just wanted to sent a big thanks to everybody out there who DIDN'T buy this guitar off of Errol. I did and thus far, I love it! It looks much better in person than the pictures (which were not bad to be honest). It plays pretty sweet and sounds nice (and fat/big/whatever) unplugged. As of right now, I could not be any happier. I can also say nothing but nice things about dealing with Errol. Truly a great guy to deal with. A great guitar, a transaction that was a breeze, what more can you ask for? Oh yeah . . . more talent. Additional thanks for those who said I should guy it. You were right; I really like it. -Cheers
Guest Meshuggah Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Excellent. Now run, do not walk, to these items soonest for maximum wraptail entendermentlovefestsuckylongtime. PIGTAIL MUSIC Intonatable bridge TONE PRO "G" style locking studs I do not remember American or Metric for this model-year. UPDATE: THIS THREAD indicates US not metric for thread protocol on a 95-96 Studio with Wilky wraptail bridge. I'll update this thread when I find out or someone, hopefully, will chime in. Jim
