School me on the Valvetech Hayseed

Do they sound as good as the clips on the site? I haven't ran across too many amps that sound that good (at least via clips) for that price...any experiences with Valvetech to speak of? Positive or negative?

I love mine and Rob is great to work with. The features and tones are just great in my opinion. I didn't get the reverb or the tremolo. I just wanted some sweet Voxish tones and they are there. The cut knob works great. The half power switch is super cool. The ef86 option is also worth the 75 bucks in my opinion.

Oh yeah, the wait on mine was about 4 and a half months.. but he told me it would be five to six, so it was cool.

I'm very happy with my purchase.

i have 3 valvetechs now. one stock vac 50 watt (the red one) and 2 hayseed customs. rob is fantastic to work with. his hayseed series is based on the vox circuit. you can get several versions, early, late, trem, reverb, ef86, etc. i would recommend valvtechs to anyone. the last head he made for me (w+ is totally killer. the first custom head he made for me (b+w) goes head to head with guytrons, dr.z and carrs and most people prefer the valvetech. the attention to detail and fine tuning of the amps is second to none. his vac amps are of his design and can cover clean, dirty and high gain territory.

Love my Vac's. I ordered one from Rob, and found the other one used in Holland. Both are the original 22 watt versions, one has the F-mod and is loaded with 2 v30's, the other is an older one with a Weber Alnico Blue dog.

I can't get myself to do the upgrade on the older one because it sounds so good. I will own a Hayseed in the future....
