ceeb Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 I'm looking for a replacement to put in the Epi Jr. I picked up a few weeks ago. It's got a stock dogear P-100 in it and the thing has a really low output compared to any of my other guitars. I have to really crank the volume to get any volume from this thing. The good news is, I was expecting it to suck.PM or E me with what you have and a price. I tried Schoblotnick's btw, and found them lacking for my sophisticated ear. Heresey, I know.
Faust Wurstkotzenhauser Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 If you haven't found anything yet, you might check out Manlius... I haven't tried their P-90's yet but I have a lot of humbuckers made by Mick and I also know a lot of people who have been very happy with his stuff. He will custom-wind for off-the-shelf prices...www.manliusguitar.com
ceeb Posted August 3, 2007 Author Posted August 3, 2007 Thanks, I'm gonna try a "Growling Goat".Actually its a "Hot Howling Goat" $120 for a pair, so I'll have a spare for the parts drawer.I'll let you know how it works out.
PastorPaul Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 I've got a black cover Duncan P-90 if the goat doesn't growl to expectation.
