Blueshound Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I have a near mint condition Budda Superdrive 18 Series II head for sale or trade. I can't find a mark on it anywhere (and I'm very picky), but since it is used, I figure it really can't be called mint (even though it is). I even have the unsigned warranty card with it. Footswitch, footswitch cable, and power cord included. The clean channel reminds me of my old Twinmaster with the added flexibility of a mid control and master volume. The drive channel can add crazy amounts of old school gain. Guitar Player reviewed this amp and described the tone as Beano-era Bluesbreakers meets Van Halen 1. It also earned an Editor's Pick from them. This amp is loud!!! Do not be fooled by the 18 watt rating. It is louder than my Fuchs Blackjack 21 and Zinky Supro, and almost as loud as my Fuchs Train 45-a paint peeler, for sure. I've read where some owners have said their Superdrives were not balanced volume-wise between the channels, but this one seems to be just fine to me. The reason I'm selling it is because I guess I'm just not a master volume kind of guy anymore. I could be open to trades, but please, no offers of Hot Devilles, Classic 30's, etc. I do like tele's (not Butterscotch), though. Since I hear the horror stories about FedEx and UPS all the time, I would prefer to deal face to face to complete the deal. I am willing to meet any buyer half way, within reason. I live in central Wisconsin, the Twin Cities are about 2.5 hours away, Green Bay is 2 hours, LaCrosse (home of Dave's Guitars) is 2.5. Brand new, Musician's Friend sells these for $1276 new. You can get mine for $800. If I have to ship it to sell it, the buyer will pay actual shipping costs and the cost to have it professionally packed. Thanks for looking. Lee
LordOfTheThighs Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 If I hadn't picked up my Mesa a few months ago, I'd be ALL over this. Thiswas on my short list of potential amps to score.
pasqual12 Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 I apologize about the redundancy as i posted in the Edwards thread...I have studio gear, if you would consider trades...vintage DBX 165, DBX 166 and 166a, 2-Ibanez SDR1000 true stereo reverb/delay (a Vai favorite). Also have EH Qtron. Let me know if you would have any interest. Thank you.John
