line noise

there's a lot of electrical noise at our jam space, all our amps hum-buzz big time. can you recommend some kind of filter or whatever (power conditioner?) that's not rackmount?

i only need to get rid of the noise, don't care about all the other mumbo jumbo

ps: yes i am using single coils , and do not wish to use humbuckers (which do get rid of most of the noise)

Have you tried a noise gate?

For $149, though, that Furman unit on eBay is a steal compared to what that kind of stuff typically goes for.

I haven't used a noise gate since I stopped playing metal. Do people actually use noise gates with clean amps?

I agree, and I'd buy it except that it's "US buyers [...] only".
