HSB0531 Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 I converted my Standard Bass to 3 volumes when I added the middle p/u.I never use the tone control on any of my basses.I just blend the volumes to get the sound I want.
RacerX Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Here's my fav way to use the Volume/Volume on Sunbursts and Standards...1) Put the pickup selector in the center position. 2) While plucking a note, back off the neck pickup volume just untill you hear a change in tone.3) You now have a great, thick, throaty tone. And a snap of the switch to the bridge pickup cuts through for more impact. Tone knob?? Sometimes I turn it to see if it works :angry: and then back to 10 it goes. :angry: MArk
