guitarded_1 Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 I'm looking for a Fender MIM Classic Player 60's Strat. I would prefer sunburst, but I would certainly consider the daphne blue for the right price. Watcha got???
murkat Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 good luck on your quest. may I suggest a 2003 LE classic player (if you can find one). far better than last years, dont remember if they came in sunburst thou. try gbase.com, musicgoround.com,guitarcenter.com,ebay as well.... sometimes they pop up, but worth it.... mine is a 60's, skyblue, usa killer all the way.
Turdus Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Is that blue one a Classic player, or "Vintage" player?I've got a VP from around 2003. It is gold, and also came in sky blue. What is great about them is US vintage bridge, Texas Specials, 9.5 radius, and jumbo frets. Has a limited edition sticker on back of headstock. They were relatively unknown for a long time, but folks now know what they are.
anotherfreak Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 I have a daphne blue with a gigbag nice big maple neck and clean,I don't have any pics yet,
fractal Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Guitar Center (if you can stand them) was blowing these out for right around $500.I don't know if you can find any anymore, though. I saw one in mid-December.
KH Guitar Freak Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Save up and get one of those Japanese Fender Strats...
guitarded_1 Posted February 20, 2008 Author Posted February 20, 2008 Save up and get one of those Japanese Fender Strats... I have plenty of respect for those Jap strats, but the CP strat's 12" radius, custom shop pickups, and strong reviews make it look like what I'm after.
