This Baldoni accordion has five switches on the keyboard side and two switches on the bass side. No funky smells. I play tested every key and button both in and out. All of the bass buttons worked with both switches. There are five switches for the keys. Bassoon, Bandon, Master, Violin, and Tremelo. Playing every note in and out they all work except with the Violin switch. A low F# and G do not work on the draw/out. The highest F# key does not work on either the in or out. So, four switches are fine. The reed blocks for the Violin switch need to be "unstuck" or replaced. One piece of metal trim is "loose." By that I mean that it is still attached, but one end has become loose. It does not stick up, nor is it bent. When you wipe the surface you may notice the piece moving. I have not tried to glue it. If you want a shiny red accordion this one has your name written on it... if your name is Baldoni.
