Zoner Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 This is a darn nice guitar that never gets played and will never get upgraded (by me anyway) so I'm offering it up for adoption. It plays nice, looks great, and is well-built with one small flaw - the bridge needed to be moved over a hair to get the strings perfectly centered on the neck, but the end result is the fat "E" string being close to the edge above the 12th fret and the skinny one having slightly more real estate up high so it isn't an issue really. Very minor but disappointing for all the "CNC is superior" chatter. Carved-top "Candy Blue(?)" Poplar body and Bi-laminated, intensely figured flame maple neck with matching fingerboard. Very nice wood here. The pickups are noise cancelling, fairly loud and clear, but frankly a bit flat sounding. I always envisioned a DiMarzio Tone Zone T or a Barden blade in the bridge, but never pulled the trigger. Yours for $235 shipped or make a kind offer. Guest bondedbybrick Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Z - Good luck with the sale of your Genny. I have a Genny Series 3, with upgrades, that I love. These are great USA-built guitars, with a price that won't break the bank.

They are inexpensive, that's for sure - I have another that will be less that $100 and was made in the USA as well. Z

I changed the pup's to Bill Lawrence L280's/L290 and changed the stamped metal bridge and cheap saddles to a StewMac/Gotoh brass bridge. Sweet!! These really are great guitars for the money and someone should jump on yours quick. I love the color!!
Jakeboy Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 I picked up a 2000 peavey FIrenza Soapbar back in December & that is one fine P90 git. Plays incredibly well & sounds the same. Leakesville, MISS peaveys are good guitars!
