currypowder Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Burny Neal Schon model. No affiliation. I've never really been into Journey, but I know some of you are. This looks like a pretty cool and rare axe. Burny's of this ere are on par w/ other Japanese copies. It looks like it was a fairly high end model when it was made based on the model number.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=230263711232
Guest pirateflynn Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 That would be a great guitar for Alex Lifeson jams!
MCChris Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Any idea if that Floyd is original? If so, why the tailpiece mounting holes?
Rhys Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Any idea if that Floyd is original? If so, why the tailpiece mounting holes?Look at the picture of the guitar from the catalogue shown in the auction: that one has tailpiece mounting holes too. My guess is that Schons original Les Paul that this was copied from had the mounting holes left in when retrofitted with a Floyd & Burny just reproduced it exactly as it was.
atquinn Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Any idea if that Floyd is original? If so, why the tailpiece mounting holes? I know you hate eBay and everything, but that's no excuse for not reading the auction description -Austin
