Just order a new one from Schaller, it wont say Hamer, but they have hardened inserts.

I've never seen a helicoil that short - and I think the increase in diameter would interfere with the adjacent holes.

Schaller won't sell direct. They sold me some nickel M6L tuners about six years ago; a few years later I asked for some more, and they refused to sell direct.

I used to buy those baseplates from Fender dealers, when Fender distributed Floyd Rose - they weren't very expensive, about $20 each. They'll say "Floyd Rose II" on them.

I don't know where you'd get them now.

I haven't checked into a helicoil that small. I have used them in the past and have worked well but I'll have to research a little bit to see if it'd work on a baseplate. If you want new, check here:

I actually just ordered one a few days ago. Should be here soon. I don't care if it doesn't say Hamer on it. I'll just hang onto the old baseplate and find a fix for it someday. Hope the website helps!
