mykel Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 cool guitars. just curious about the asat conversion.was it a pool route or did you have to do some routing to put in the middle pu? i thought the straight asat or asat special didn't have the pool route.also, are those alnico or mfd pus?

It is a 3 bolt neck attachment. I do not have the original p-ups (the store kept them)...it was done by the local dealer MANY years ago on a whim of mine. They ordered the pickguard and p-ups from G&L and did the install. I do think it took some routing but I wasn't observing the process. The cavity was painted with some sort of shielding paint at that time. Hope this answers the questions...
