Price is shipped/paypald to lower 48US, confirmed address.

NO TRADES

ONLY reason for sale is the AxeFX - it can't come close to these Vox tones, but it offers the flexibility I need in my current situation)

Vox AC30cc1 heavily modded to JMI specs by Psionic Audio. Comes with great old mojotone Alnico (8ohms) -OR - SCUMBACK H75 (16ohms)

= $925 (shipped in original Vox shipping box)

(Sorry, can't link to pics because photobucket is flakin out on me. I can email pics if requested, but it's in great condition and looks exactly like a standard AC30cc1)

Cost breakdown:

AC30cc1 (used but MINT) = $700

Alnico or Scumback = $125

BRAND NEW SET OF JJ's = $100 (will also include original tube set for backup)

PSIONIC MODS + Shipping to and from = $400 (not to mention a wait time of 4 months)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TOTAL INTO AMP = $1325

Lyle Caldwell is THE foremost authority on modding the CC series (and HW reissues) to get as close to JMI specs as possible. This amp roars like a lion when pushed hard and has the utmost chime. This is a KILLER example of all of the Vox tones. His changes made everything work and sound better including the Verb, Trem, etc... Here is the base JMI package that I got from him (some of the stuff he does is kind of a trade secret of sorts for obvious reasons). This took a total of 4 months to get back, grab yours NOW!!!!):

Basic "JMI spec" mod package - includes signal path changes and power supply component upgrades, a mixture of carbon film, carbon comp, metal film, and metal oxide resistors where needed, Sozo "mustard" coupling caps, the '65/'67 switch (changes the gain in the Top Boost channel), fixing the effects loop and trem circuits, and changing the output screen/grid resistors to give longer tube life while retaining the "JMI" sound.

CLIPS: (first 2 are with a dark sounding LP; the second are with a brighter LP and lousy camcorder mic)

Yep, back up again... sorry for the flip/flop all. I decided to scale down and change my entire rig. Anyway, I am getting tired of buying and selling so this is the BOTTOM DOLLAR deal on this one. I think it's fair - the guitar did not arrive in great setup condition to me, so I had to do some work to get it playing it's best. That counts for something. It's sweet, it rawks... The MAJOR DING is COSMETIC ONLY, NO STRUCTURAL DAMAGE. The original owner dropped it ONCE (apparently that was enough). MIJ luthier attention to detail, all USA hardware and pickups. The clips are the guitar through my modded Vox AC30cc1 into a sh*tty camcorder mic. the AC30 IS ALSO FOR SALE ($925).

Not much else to say. Around 8-8.5 pounds on my crude bathroom scale.

HAHA... yeah, apparently the original owner got one bang too many out of this one. I guess you'll just have to take my word that it's a great player and the front is pristine. But, the gash on the back is not for the faint of heart. If you play "in the round" you might not want your fans seeing something like that lol!
